Small-batch surfboard wax made in a garage by Kai Holokai, with quality control by a chihuahua named Willie. Plant-based. Plastic-free wrappers. Four water temps plus a base coat that actually holds.
I'm Kai. I grew up surfing the North Shore, moved to Puka Cove for the year-round break, and started mixing my own wax in my garage when nothing off the shelf could handle a California summer.
Then I found Willie at a Long Beach shelter. Tiny chihuahua. Big personality. Turns out he's a natural longboard rider. He sits on the deck while I paddle out. He's been the unofficial wax-tester for every batch since.
Every bar gets Willie's tail-wag rating. Most of them pass. The ones that don't, we throw out. He's stricter than you'd expect.
